About the studio

We built one roomand refused to add a second.

Eleven years above a bookshop on Water Street. Two practitioners, one table, and a list that runs six weeks deep because we never learned how to hurry.

How it started

A kettle, a folding table and one borrowed stone.

Noor started in 2014 with a folding table in a rented room and a gua sha stone borrowed from her grandmother. The first year was eleven guests a week and a lot of rearranging. The stone is still in the drawer, and it still gets used on Thursdays.

Camille joined in 2017 and brought lymphatic work with her. That was the year we took the room next door and turned it into the quiet room — which is when the practice stopped being a series of appointments and became a ritual with an ending.

What we hold to

Three rules, and they cost us money.

One at a time

Never two guests in the studio. It halves what we can earn in a day and it is the reason nobody hears a second conversation through the wall.

No upsell, ever

The price list is the whole conversation. If something would genuinely help we will say so at the start, not while you are reaching for your coat.

Patch-tested, always

Nothing new goes on your skin without forty-eight hours behind your ear first. It is a free ten-minute stop and we have never once regretted insisting.

The two of us

You will be seen by one of these two.

There is no rotating bench and no junior list. Ask for either by name when you write.

Eleven years

Four things changed, and only four.

A folding table

One rented room above the bookshop, eleven guests a week, and a gua sha stone borrowed from a grandmother in Amman.

The quiet room

We took the room next door instead of a second table. Steam and sound became the ending of every ritual rather than an add-on.

Our own oils

Blending moved to the bench. Six base oils, mixed per guest, bottled to go if you want the same thing at home.

Still one guest

We turned down the second table for the third time. The waiting list is six weeks and we have made our peace with it.

Come and see

The room is quieter than this page makes it sound.

Book the sixty as a first visit. If it is not for you, we will say so and refund the difference on anything you did not use.
